Position Summary

The IT Officer is responsible for supporting the school’s technology systems and ensuring accurate data management, reliable IT operations, and effective technical support services.

This role manages the school management system, provides IT support to staff and students, and works closely with academic and administrative teams to maintain smooth and secure daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Management & Administration


  • Manage and maintain the accuracy, integrity, security, and accessibility of data across school systems, including student, academic, HR, and operational platforms.

  • Work collaboratively with the Academic team to ensure the accuracy of student data and support the preparation of student progression, attainment, enrollment, safeguarding, compliance, and other academic and operational reports.

  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights, ensuring compliance with data protection, safeguarding, and security policies.

  • Coordinate IT-related onboarding, role changes, and offboarding processes, including account provisioning, modification, and deactivation.

  • Support data quality monitoring through validation checks and assist in audit and compliance activities.

  • Generate, validate, and distribute reports to support academic, operational, management, and regulatory requirements.

  • Identify and escalate data integrity, security, access control, and reporting issues to the IT Manager, and support corrective actions as directed.

  • Provide user support, training, and documentation to promote the effective use of school information systems and data management practices.

  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.


2. Technical Support & Service Delivery


  • Provide first- and second-level IT support to teachers, staff, students, and school leadership, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.

  • Troubleshoot and maintain hardware, software, network, system, and application services to support daily school operations and escalate complex issues as required.

  • Provide technical support for school events, meetings, presentations, and operational systems.

  • Support and maintain classroom technology, including computers, printers, audiovisual equipment, internet connectivity, and educational technology resources.

  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, email systems, and collaboration platforms.

  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.

  • Maintain IT asset inventory, device records, and equipment lifecycle management.

  • Support access control, elevator access, CCTV, and related security systems, including basic user access management and troubleshooting.

  • Deliver high quality, user-focused customer service while assisting users and performing other IT-related duties as assigned by the IT Manager.

Expected Profile of Candidates


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in IT support, data management, or systems administration.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Administration and cloud-based technologies.

  • Understanding of supporting and configuring Windows and macOS operating systems.

  • Experience with collaboration platforms within Microsoft 365 environment.

  • Familiarity with Apple ecosystem management tools such as Mosyle ,ABM, Jamf.

  • Basic knowledge of networking, infrastructure support, and troubleshooting.

  • Understanding of data privacy, safeguarding, and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to provide user training and technical support on systems and applications.

  • Adaptable and able to quickly learn and apply new technologies.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.

  • Performs well under pressure; highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Willingness to work flexibly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities

  • Flexible, proactive, and adaptable mindset

  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively
