Position Summary

As a Head of Marketing & Growth, you will responsible for leading the school’s student recruitment, brand development, community engagement, and growth strategy.

The role combines strategic marketing, partnership development, admissions alignment, and brand leadership to support the school’s long-term enrolment and reputation objectives.

The successful candidate will lead the Marketing Department in developing sustainable growth channels, strengthening the school’s market position, enhancing parent engagement, and ensuring all marketing initiatives contribute to measurable outcomes.

This role requires a commercially minded leader who can balance strategic thinking, relationship building, brand management, and data-informed decision making within a premium international education environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing & Growth


  • Develop and implement the school’s annual marketing and growth strategy.

  • Support the General Manager in defining and refining the school’s positioning within the Phnom Penh and wider regional market.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and parent expectations.

  • Develop annual marketing plans, recruitment campaigns, and growth initiatives aligned with enrolment targets.

  • Ensure all marketing activities support both short-term recruitment goals and long-term brand development.


Student Recruitment & Admissions Alignment


  • Work closely with the Admissions Team to optimise the full enrolment journey from enquiry to enrolment.

  • Monitor recruitment performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion rates.

  • Establish systems to track lead sources, marketing effectiveness, and enrolment outcomes.

  • Support admissions events, school tours, open days, and recruitment campaigns.

  • Ensure marketing and admissions functions operate as a unified growth system


Partnership Development & Community Engagement


  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships that contribute to student recruitment and brand visibility.

  • Build relationships with:

    • Preschools

    • Corporate organisations

    • Embassies

    • Chambers of Commerce

    • Community organisations

    • Relocation services

    • Property and residential communities

    • Education partners

  • Strengthen parent referral and ambassador programmes.

  • Identify new opportunities for community engagement and partnership growth.


Brand Leadership


  • Protect and strengthen the school’s brand identity.

  • Ensure consistency across all communication channels and marketing materials.

  • Oversee major campaigns, publications, promotional materials, and brand initiatives.

  • Support the development of compelling school stories and messages that reflect the school’s vision and values.

  • Ensure the school maintains a strong and professional market presence.


Employer Branding and Talent Marketing


  • Support the development and execution of employer branding initiatives in partnership with the HR team to strengthen the school’s reputation as an employer of choice.

  • Collaborate with HR to translate the employee value proposition (EVP) into compelling marketing content across digital and communication channels.

  • Plan and execute employer branding campaigns across key platforms, including the school website, careers page, and social media, to enhance visibility among target talent segments.

  • Ensure consistent and high-quality representation of the school’s culture, values, and workplace environment in external communications.

  • Provide marketing expertise in content development, digital channels, storytelling, and campaign management to support HR-led recruitment initiatives.

  • Track and report on employer branding campaign performance and digital engagement metrics.


Marketing Analytics & Performance Reporting


  • Establish clear marketing reporting systems and dashboards.

  • Analyse:

    • Lead generation

    • Source performance

    • Campaign effectiveness

    • Event outcomes

    • Conversion performance

  • Produce regular reports for senior leadership.

  • Use data and evidence to guide future decisions and investment priorities.


Team Leadership & Department Management


  • Lead and develop the Marketing Team.

  • Establish departmental priorities and annual objectives.

  • Manage marketing budgets and external suppliers.

  • Coordinate marketing projects across academic and operational departments.

  • Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement.


Professional Contribution


  • Contribute actively to whole-school strategic planning and improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate effectively with Admissions, Academic Leadership, HR, Finance, and Operations teams.

  • Support safeguarding, student wellbeing, and the school’s values.

  • Represent the school professionally within the wider community.

  • Engage in professional development and leadership review processes.


Pastoral & Safeguarding


  • Uphold safeguarding, health, and safety standards at all times as part of your professional duty.

  • Act consistently in the best interests of children, ensuring their safety, happiness, and holistic development.

  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to achieve the school’s shared goals and vision.

  • Engage actively in professional development, training, and performance review processes.

  • Contribute to school policies, improvement initiatives, and the maintenance of standards across the school.

  • Model and adhere to the RGSPP Code of Conduct and professional expectations.

Expected Profile of Candidates


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Education Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience.

  • Ability to translate organisational objectives into practical and sustainable growth strategies.

  • Strong understanding of brand positioning, customer journeys, and premium customer expectations.

  • Strong networking, stakeholder engagement, and partnership management skills.

  • Ability to interpret performance data and make evidence-based decisions.

  • Achievement of enrolment targets.

  • Growth in qualified enquiries and applications.

  • Improved conversion rates across the admissions funnel.

  • Growth and effectiveness of strategic partnerships and referral channels

  • Increased visibility, engagement, and reputation within target communities.

  • Campaign effectiveness and measurable return on investment.

  • Achievement of departmental objectives and quality standards.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Ability to identify opportunities for growth, partnerships, and market development.

  • Performs well under pressure; highly organized with strong attention to detail
