The new school year began with excitement, fresh uniforms, sharpened pencils, and new opportunities for learning. In our first assembly, students watched the animated short Snack Attack and reflected on the importance of empathy and kindness.
Together, we explored valuable lessons:
First impressions can be misleading.
Kindness and patience can transform a situation.
Mistakes are learning opportunities.
Perspective matters—seeing through another’s eyes helps us respond thoughtfully.
Our key message: Pause before you judge, lead with kindness, and show empathy to others.
Art, Culture, and Science Highlights
Year 4 explored symbolism in art and culture, learning how symbols carry diverse meanings.
Year 6 studied the history of self-portraits, then sketched and completed famous artworks—an exercise in observation and creativity.
In Science, children classified Living and Non-living things using scientific criteria.
And some pupils enjoyed winding down at Wellbeing Club!

Early Years Adventures
The youngest members of our school have been settling in beautifully. Over the past two weeks, Early Years children have:
Explored indoor and outdoor spaces.
Enjoyed sand and water play.
Created self-portraits inspired by What Makes Me Me? by Ben Faulks and David Tazzyman.
Added their handprints to the Early Years Tree, symbolising growth for the year ahead.
Well done to all our Fawns, Chicks, Cubs, and Pangos!
Messages from Our Teachers
Mr. Toby Hancock – Primary Teaching & Learning Coordinator “Despite only two weeks into the school year, pupils have impressed us with their enthusiasm for learning. From Science and Maths to Games and Art, they have shown themselves to be curious, committed learners, ready to become true Reigatians.”
Ms. Stacy Ramsay – Primary Pastoral Coordinator “Our school is not just built from bricks and modern facilities—it’s the children that make it come alive. The joy in our corridors, the friendships forming, and the relationships between teachers and families are what make RGSPP special. Parents are encouraged to build strong communication with homeroom teachers to support every child’s journey.”
Looking Ahead
Meet the Teacher – Monday. An informal opportunity to meet your child’s homeroom teacher and visit classrooms.
Cultural Museum – 15–19 September. A celebration of our community’s stories and diversity, created together by students and families.
